Volunteer Acknowledgments

Many programs at the Lyceum would not be possible without the dedication and excellence of our rather large volunteer base. These young people reconfigure homework schedules, part-time jobs and extra-curricular activities to give us their creative energy, goodwill and brute strength. We are deeply grateful to the following:

Sarah Hobbs - Full time Summer Camp Volunteer

When Sarah was very little, she attended one of Christianne’s programs at her local community center, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, however, she lost contact, and had no idea of the Lyceum’s existence until three years ago, when she learned, through her school councilor, about a volunteer opportunity there. Since then, she has very much enjoyed assisting the children, parents and staff at the Lyceum, and never fails to be surprised by the children’s creativity. She is a highly valued member of our teaching team and her own Lyceum writing group, The Page Rippers. Sarah is currently in Grade 12 at Byng Arts Mini School, where she is enrolled in the Literary Arts Program. Besides reading and writing, her other interests include piano, jazz dance, and biking.
