Yarn Bombing at the Lyceum!
Our yarn has frayed, our stitches slipped. Our trees need some new clothes.
Knit graffiti is an international guerrilla movement that started underground and is now embraced by crochet and knitting artists of all ages, nationalities, and genders. Its practitioners create stunning works of art out of yarn, then “donate” them to public spaces.
Come inside for materials and patterns to contribute your own section to our latest community art project. To celebrate International Yarn Bombing Day we'll be continuing this project for the whole month of June! Bring in your knitted segments to add to the project and marvel at how the neighbourhood looks just a little more beautiful.

Primary Literature and Art Community Project This wall is our canvas. Our Primary Literature and Art class at Christianne’s Lyceum has been invited by Highbury Towers to use it to create a mural that reflects our ideas about bringing beauty to everyday objects in our community. We will also be maintaining the wall garden with indigenous flowers.
Watch this project blossom weekly updates online and by the children at the site: beside Highbury Towers, 2020 Highbury St. at W. 4th Ave.
If you love literature and art and want to pass along that love to the next generation of readers and creators, this opportunity is for you. We are especially looking for help on Tuesday and Wednesday during the day.
